Sunshine State Recruits Have Plenty Of Suitors To Choose From

MOBILE, Alabama -- Trent Richardson grew up being compared to Emmitt Smith. He played at Smith's alma mater, Escambia High in Pensacola, and earned the same kind of accolades, honored as one of the top prospects in the country during his senior year.
But while Smith went on to star at Florida before going on to become the NFL's all-time leading rusher, Richardson chose another path. He signed with Alabama, where he is expected to be among the top backs in the SEC and the country this season.
