Crusaders’ running back Jabbar Singleton ran for 132 yards and three touchdowns Friday night, helping to lead Brother Martin past West Jefferson 34-22 at Tad Gormley Stadium.
“I’ve been trying to get him out to play football the last couple of years,” Crusaders’ Coach Mark Bonis said. “He’s a basketball guy and we finally got him out this year. The reason why we went after him is we knew what kind of a man he could be as a running back. Before the game, we told him, ‘This is going to be on you. You’ve got to get it done tonight.’ He really stepped it up and did a tremendous job.”
