Reflections On Coaching Legend J.T. Curtis

New Orleans coaching legend J.T. Curtis of the John Curtis Christian Patriots will be going for his 500th win on October 28th following a bye week.  In his blog on http://www.sportsnola.com/, Bill Bumgarner recently sat down with Curtis's sons, Johnny and Jeff, who serve as his assistants to get some extra insight on their father's coaching style and personality.

Sons of a Legend: Johnny and Jeff Curtis reflect on father J.T.'s coaching career

The first one took place in 1970, on the heels of 11 consecutive losses, in the second game of his second season, with a 14-0 decision on the road at Buras against Delta Heritage -- one of eight schools among those first 12 opponents that no longer exists.
The 499th took place Friday night, Oct. 14, against Newman by a final score of 41-0, thus setting the stage for a likely 500th victory against Clark on Thursday, Oct. 28 following a bye week.
